The best beauty looks from New York Fashion Week spring 2020
Now that New York Fashion Week has officially come and gone, we're looking back at the best of the best — the prettiest dresses, the shocking moments and the most standout beauty looks.
From bubble ponies at Chromat and neon eyes at Anna Sui to faux freckles at Brandon Maxwell and custom-made hair beads at Pyer Moss, these shows stood out for more than the clothing.
One of the biggest beauty trends we saw on the runway was the use of deeply pigmented, colorful eyeshadows accented with glitter or crystals. While the look might not exactly translate to your everyday beauty routine, there are ways to incorporate parts of the trend without going over the top.
Instead of a bold lip, go with a colorful eyeliner to accent a minimal makeup look like makeup artist Susie Sobol did at Helmut Lang. For a nighttime look, try brushing a gunmetal metallic eyeshadow on your lids to create a smoky, glittery look like makeup artist Tom Pecheux did at Brandon Maxwell.
