NYFW: Anna Sui puts a modern spin on Victorian fashion

Anna Sui brought the fun to NYFW on Monday evening, thanks to her playful Spring 2020 collection.

Unlike her trademark styles, this collection was void of moody hues. Instead the runway was covered in pastels with the occasional pop of neon.

In her show notes, Sui elaborated on the lightened color palette: "The color palette is totally new for me - filled with dreamy saturated pastels - buttercream, lemon curd, powder blue, cornflower, pale pistachio, Crème de Menthe, Wedgewood lilac, dusty rose, whipped cream, powder puff - like the confectionary colors of fancifully frosted cupcakes - sometimes, punched-up with fluorescent detailing - neon piping, and lace trims, Day-Glo plastic zippers and striped elastic!"

We were obsessed with this unique yet wearable collection. Our favorite looks from the line included sky blue floral long-sleeved dress with sheer red and pink sleeves and a yellow jacquard two-piece set that was finished off with a matching feathered boa.
