NYFW: Brandon Maxwell isn't just a red carpet designer anymore

Brandon Maxwell has long been hailed as an evening wear favorite for A-listers and political figures alike, beloved by everyone from Michelle Obama to Gigi Hadid, Lady Gaga to Meghan Markle and Oprah to Karlie Kloss. Now, the designer behind some of the most iconic and dazzling red carpet looks in recent times has shaken up his clientele to add menswear into the mix.

The creative took his show on Saturday at New York Fashion Week to introduce a new menswear collection with piercing suits in a rainbow of emerald greens and bright reds. Maxwell also added a new spin to his womenswear with everyday denim styles, silk blouses and leather cutoffs.

However, luckily for the OG Brandon Maxwell fans, the designer didn't stray so far from his roots: models such as Irina Shayk, Candice Swanepoel and Bella Hadid danced down the runway in the skin-baring gowns we've come to expect and grown to love.
