Alex Rodriguez breaks his silence on relationship with Jennifer Lopez

Alex Rodriguez finally broke his silence on his buzzed-about romance with Jennifer Lopez!

During his Friday appearance on "The View," the former MLB star was grilled by the show's hosts about his new relationship with the "Dance Again" hitmaker, and he handled it like a pro.

"It's obvious [that] we've been having a great time," Rodriguez said with a smile. "She's an amazing, amazing girl, one of the smartest human beings I've ever met and also an incredible mother."

Of course, the ladies of "The View" weren't satisfied with that answer, so they pushed for more. When asked to divulge one piece of information that the public wouldn't already know, he naturally highlighted her athletic past.

"For one, she was a track star in high school and junior high, so she's an awesome all-around athlete," he gushed. "She just likes simple things. She's a very, very simple person [who] loves family. She's a great sister, a great daughter."

Rodriguez also made sure to note that Lopez is a Bronx native and a "big Yankees fan."

The couple has only been dating for a month or so, but have already been spotted enjoying dates and trips in the Bahamas, Miami and Los Angeles this month.
