Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter, Maddie Aldridge, has left Children's Hospital in New Orleans less than a week after her scary ATV accident.

"Thanks to the amazing first responders, and medical teams at University and Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA," he wrote. "We are headed home with our baby girl as she continues to recover."

The uplifting news comes two days after Maddie's aunt, Britney Spears, thanked her fans on Twitter for the well wishes and said that Maddie was "making progress." Following her accident on Sunday, Maddie was in "stable but critical condition" for two days before it was revealed on Tuesday that she was "awake and talking."

Watson echoed Britney's gratitude on Friday for all of the support that family, friends and fans have given them during what has surely been an emotional week for his family.

"Above all else we are so thankful for each and every prayer, because we know that is what truly made the difference," he finished. "Thank you again to everyone. We are truly blessed."

UPDATE: One hour after Watson's announcement, Britney Spears shared an update on her own Instagram account confirming the news.

"So grateful that Maddie was able to go home today," she wrote. "It's truly a miracle. Our prayers were heard, and they were answered! Thank you so much for all of your love and support this week. My family appreciates it more than you will ever know."
