Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have a 'fluid' relationship, might not divorce

Days after reports surfaced that Jennifer Garner was going to divorce Ben Affleck nearly two years after their split was announced, sources close to the situation have indicated otherwise.

E! News reported on Monday that the pair's "relationship is very fluid and nothing has really changed" regarding their relationship status.

Garner and Affleck, who have been married for 10 years, "have been working on their relationship for the past few years," which makes it "unclear what the future holds for them," a source adds.

Both actors remain committed to creating the best possible situation for their three children -- Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 4 -- and whether that involves the couple officially getting back together, divorcing or something else remains to be seen.

"Regardless of their relationship with each other, they will always protest the kids and spend time together for them," the source continues. "Their goals remain the same [...] It's a fluid situation."

Garner and Affleck first announced their impending divorce back in 2015 after reports surfaced that Affleck had had an affair with their family's nanny, Christine Ouzounian. Since then, the "Live By Night" star has been living on their property, but in a separate guest room.
