Emma, Meryl, Lin-Manuel and more: All the A-listers who star in upcoming Disney remakes

Sorry, 1994: Right now is the very best time to be a Disney fan. The next few years are lined up with sure-to-be stellar remakes of your favorite Disney flicks, and Hollywood's biggest names are clamoring to get in on the magic. For casting directors, it just takes faith, trust, pixie dust -- and a lucrative multimillion-dollar contract. Take a look at all the A-list faces to star in the next generation of Disney classics:

Emma Stone -- It's another musical for the "La La Land" cutie, but we'll be surprised (and uncomfortable) if Cruella de Vil tap dances across the Hollywood Hills. Stone will play the famously fierce villain in 2018's "Cruella," and while she's the only star signed on so far, Disney is ready to get moving: According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is "a priority for the studio" and is expected to shoot this year.

James Earl Jones -- Breathe easy: When "The Lion King" makes its triumphant live-action return, we'll still hear the gravelly Mufasa we know and love. The legendary actor voiced Mufasa more than two decades ago, and he's officially decided to reprise the iconic role. Expect tears when you hear that booming "Simba...Remember who you are..."

Emily Blunt -- We don't need a spoonful of sugar to deal with this one. The acclaimed Brit will follow Julie Andrews' beloved footprints as Mary Poppins in the highly-anticipated "Mary Poppins Returns," due out in December 2018. She'll lead an all-star cast, which includes...

Meryl Streep -- Is there any role she can't play? The megastar will join Blunt as Topsy in "Mary Poppins Returns."

Lin-Manuel Miranda -- Because there's no one else we'd trust to make an already-perfect story even better. The "Hamilton" mastermind will join Blunt and Streep in "Mary Poppins Returns" as Jack.

Colin Firth, Dick Van Dyke, Angela Lansbury and more -- Long story short, we really need an invitation to the "Mary Poppins Returns" wrap party.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson -- The Rock is a Disney veteran, most recently melting hearts as Maui in Disney's "Moana." And if you haven't heard this movie news, you're going to lose it: He'll star in the upcoming "Jungle Cruise," based, of course, on everyone's favorite Walt Disney World ride. Disney's production team has been trying to get this film made for more than a decade, and it's finally launching from the dock.

Donald Glover -- Twitter was ecstatic to learn that the ultra-talented performer (writer, actor, rapper and who knows what else?) is officially slated to star as Simba in "The Lion King." Reactions ranged from "omg yes" to "OMG, YES!!" He's also snagged a coveted role in an upcoming "Star Wars" 2018 film, which makes him a bonafide Disney leading man.

Idris Elba -- He may seem tough, but this guy loves a good Disney role. His voice made waves in 2016's "Finding Dory," and he's set to reprise his role in the upcoming sequel to "The Jungle Book," in which he plays Shere Khan.
