Report: Jennifer Garner to file for divorce from Ben Affleck

Updated

Nearly two years after announcing their split, Jennifer Garner is planning on filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, according to US Weekly.

Garner and Affleck, both 44, shocked the world when they revealed in June 2015 that they were splitting up after 10 years of marriage.

Since then, they've sparked numerous reconciliation rumors due to their frequent public outings together.

"No matter what happens, Ben and Jen are committed to raising their family as one unit and will continue to do so as it has worked for them," a source said to Us Weekly. "They are both committed to their family."

The Hollywood couple have three children together -- Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 4.

Ben has apparently moved out of their Brentwood home following the news of Jen's decision, another source said.

There was trouble in paradise long before their announced separation as the two had allegedly been going to couples therapy for years.

"They were going to divorce when Sam was born, but you know how it is -- baby comes and solves the issues for a bit, but it's just a Band-Aid. It hasn't been working for ages," a source said at the time.

The "Batman" star was rumored to have had a fling with the nanny of his children, Christine Ouzounian.

However, Jen set the record straight in a loaded interview with Vanity Fair in 2016:

"Let me just tell you something. We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation," Garner said. "Bad judgment? Yes. It's not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives."

Ben and Jen met on the set of "Pearl Harbor" in 2001 and their friendship turned romantic when they starred in "Daredevil" two years later. In the same Vanity Fair interview, she called Affleck the, "love of her life."
