Suspicious packages were mailed to several prominent Democrats and other notable figures this week. The packages, described as "potential explosive devices" by the Secret Service, were found in numerous locations across the country. Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Bill and Hillary Clinton, actor Robert De Niro, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, former CIA director John Brennan and Democratic donor George Soros were among those to have suspicious packages addressed to them. CNN was also targeted with what appeared to be a pipe bomb. Cesar Sayoc, Jr., 56, was arrested in connection with the case.

Other major headlines of the week included a winning $1.6 billion Mega Millions ticket being sold in South Carolina, Megyn Kelly sparking outrage for her comments about blackface and retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor revealing she has dementia.
