Ready for fall!

The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out on Wednesday morning for a surprise visit to the Angela Marmont Centre at London's Natural History Museum to learn more about how the organization is protecting wildlife in the UK. The royal, 38, is a patron of the museum and frequently speaks out about her love for the outdoors.

As part of her visit, the duchess met with the museum's director Sir Michael Dixon to talk about the museum's championing efforts and groundbreaking research, and was shown some parts of the collection.

The mom-of-three wore the perfect fall outfit for the occasion: A berry-colored knit sweater by Warehouse and olive green culottes by Jigsaw. She polished off the look with her go-to Asprey hoop earrings, burgandy leather pumps by Tod's (shop a similar pair here) and a matching Chanel bag.

Next up for the Cambridges is their royal tour of Pakistan, which will kick off next week on Oct. 14.
