Ivanka Trump is no stranger to the Met Gala red carpet.
The first daughter, who counts both "fashion designer" and "model" on her resume, has taken the Met Gala red carpet a total of 12 times between 2004 and 2016. Whether she was attending solo, alongside now-husband Jared Kushner or with her father and step-mother (Donald Trump has attended 9 times), the blonde beauty has become a yearly fixture at the annual star-studded fundraiser.
While Met queen Anna Wintour has been adamant about not inviting the president to future galas, we're not sure this rule applies to Ivanka. However, in honor of fashion's biggest night out on Monday, we're throwing it back to every time Ivanka has graced the Met Gala steps.
Her 2004 debut, which corresponded with her father's proposal to Melania the same night, included a nude silk dress with lace detailing. She attended the following three years, but it wasn't until her 2007 appearance in a sophisticated Jason Wu number that put her on our style radar.
The Trumps at the Met Gala over the years:
Ivanka later tested the designer waters, taking the red carpet in cream J. Mendel, blush Brian Reyes, blue Juan Carlos Obando, green Oscar de la Renta, purple Atelier Versace and blue Prabal Gurung. However, we must say that the Jason Wu and Prabal Gurung selections remain our favorites.
