Duchess Kate is a total vision in sequin Jenny Packham gown and Princess Diana's tiara at queen's diplomatic reception

A modern day Cinderella!

Duchess Kate joined husband Prince William, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday night for the queen's annual diplomatic reception, which welcomed 1,000 of the world's most influential names.

For the black tie event, the mother-of-three opted for an intricate beaded gown by one of her favorite designers, Jenny Packham. She paired the sophisticated silhouette, which featured cap sleeves and a belted bodice, with a pair of stunning pearl drop earrings, a silver clutch and the Lovers' Knot tiara, which previously belonged to the late Princess Diana.

Kate also sported her yellow Royal Order ribbon, which she was honored with back in December 2017. The order is bestowed upon female members of the royal family by Queen Elizabeth, and is worn on formal occasions like this reception.

It's only the second time we've seen the duchess donning the accolade, with the first being a state banquet back in October.

It's been a busy few for the Cambridges, who on Tuesday also hosted a holiday party for military families deployed in Cyprus. And on Wednesday, the couple traveled to Cyprus to meet with the military personnel who are living at the base.

Next week, Prince William and Duchess Kate will visit Evelina London Children's Hospital to meet with the center's staff and families impacted by the institution.
