Lady Gaga fat-shamed for Super Bowl performance

Last night, the Patriots made Super Bowl history after defeating the Falcons in overtime.

But everyone's talking about Lady Gaga's epic halftime performance, which blew up on every outlet on social media. It drove nearly 5.2 million tweets on Twitter alone, compared to 3.9 million tweets about Perry's show in 2015.

People were amazed by the pop princess' artistic range, as she danced, belted and rocked her way in heels-- all while flipping in midair in a Versace-designed outfit. In true Gaga fashion, her wild collaboration of her most famous hits did not disappoint.

However, some of social media was more preoccupied by her revealing stomach than by her talent. Many users chose to focus on the star's body. They did not hold back with their fat-shaming comments.

Gaga, who has openly discussed her battle with eating disorders, was fiercely defended by her fans. She shocked many of them by announcing an upcoming world tour.
