'RHONY': Luann de Lesseps ordered back into custody for violating probation

Updated

Countess Luann has been ordered back into custody.

The "Real Housewives of New York City" star appeared in a Palm Beach court on Thursday, where a judge ordered her back into custody for violating her probation following her arrest in December 2017. Local news outlet CBS12 reports that a judge pointed to the reality star failing an alcohol test and unwillingness to attend AA meetings as evidence for her probation violations.

The Blast obtained court documents that detail the judge's new terms on the "RHONY" star's probation, including calling into weekly counseling sessions, monthly psychiatric evaluations and having a breathalyzer machine in her car.

In a statement released to People, de Lesseps denied reports that she had been ordered to return to jail.

"These reports are false," she explained. "I’m glad the judge was understanding once made aware of the evidence provided and I was then released. I am now looking forward to completing my remaining few months of probation. I want to put this behind me and move forward with my life."

The mother of two, 54, was arrested and charged with battery, trespassing and disorderly intoxication in Palm Beach following an incident at a hotel on Christmas Eve. She accepted a plea deal last August after completing two rehab treatments.

According to court documents from April, de Lesseps admitted to drinking following the second rehab stint.

"Per her New York Probation Officer, [she had] an alcohol test conducted on 04/21/2019," the documents read. "[Luann] admitted to drinking 2 glasses of mimosas after a performance she had in Chicago."

The paperwork went on to explain that she was "offered the opportunity to immediately enroll in outpatient treatment," but she turned down the offer because of her ongoing Countess and Friends cabaret tour. She also declined to wear an ankle bracelet to monitor her alcohol intake because it was "too intrusive."

Earlier this week, de Lesseps took part in the "Real Housewives of New York City" reunion taping, which was seemingly pushed up in order to accommodate her court appearance. She didn't attend last year's reunion.
