Country music legend Garth Brooks took home the night's top award, Entertainer of the Year, besting Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton and Eric Church. Stapleton took home Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.

Miranda Lambert went into the night with the most nominations -- five -- and she took home the coveted award for Female Vocalist of the Year. She wasn't nominated for Entertainer of the Year.

The lively award show featured a slew of memorable performances, including an emotional in memoriam tribute delivered by Underwood. Many of the night's winners and presenters called for unity, peace and celebration throughout the night amid increasing gun violence and division in the country.
