Former 'Bachelorette' star JoJo Fletcher reveals 'the best part' about her relationship with Jordan Rodgers

Updated

The most recent "Bachelorette," JoJo Fletcher is loving life after the show with her fiancee, Jordan Rodgers.

The couple, who got engaged on the finale of Fletcher's season of "The Bachelorette" last August, has settled into a "cute little house" in her hometown of Dallas, Texas and have "found this good balance" with one another since the post-show media attention has died down.

We recently caught up with JoJo at our AOL headquarters in New York City to talk about a variety of topics, including what makes her relationship with Jordan work so well, whether or not she feels pressure to get married, partnering with brands like Orbit White, the criticism that's following new "Bachelor" couple Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi and what she thinks of the new "Bachelorette," Rachel Lindsay.

On her relationship with Jordan: "We've found this good balance ... We are both so supportive of one another, and I think that's the best part about our relationship. We trust each other, so it's not like anything would ever worry us. ... I'm so proud of him and what he's doing, and he's proud of me."

On pressure to get married: "I don't think that I ever felt pressure to get married, but I think that right when we got engaged, we had said, like, 'We're going to get married next year,' because I think that excitement was just so intense, and we were just ready. But, after we settled into life, we were like, 'This is a good time to just enjoy being together and to enjoy that courtship that comes along with being engaged. There isn't any rush. I don't think we had even met a year ago. ... We're still getting to know each other, but I think about [getting married]. It's exciting, but it's not something that you just do because you're excited."

On Nick and Vanessa's seemingly awkward dynamic on "After the Final Rose": "I've been through that ... I know that day I was super excited, but there were also a ton of nerves. It was [Nick and Vanessa's] first time coming out as a couple, and I think that a lot of people thought it was kind of awkward. I think I did too when I watched it."

On new "Bachelorette," Rachel Lindsay: "I love her! I got a chance to talk to her, and Rachel is incredible. She's beautiful, and she's smart, and I keep saying this word, but the one thing I noticed about her is that she exudes confidence. The second I met her I was like, 'These guys are going to be in for something!' She doesn't take any crap. She's strong, she's independent and she's different. I love it. I think she's going to shake it up!"
