Watch the Oscars audience react to the Best Picture mixup

Updated

It's the morning after the 2017 Oscars, and all anyone can talk about is that ending!

The 89th Annual Academy Awards ended with a shocking finish on Sunday night when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway mistakenly awarded the Best Picture trophy to "La La Land" instead of the rightful winner, "Moonlight."

The pair's mistake was almost immediately corrected, but not before mass confusion ensued among the star-studded audience inside the Dolby Theatre. Between the cast of "La La Land" being pushed off stage and the "Moonlight" cast and crew slowly making their way towards the stage, the reactions inside Hollywood's biggest night to the major snafu were all over the place.

Luckily for you, we have the footage of the crowd's response to the moment, and it's just as good as you'd think.

In the clip above, you can see Janelle Monae and Naomie Harris of "Moonlight" sharing looks of shock as they make their way to the stage; you can see a wide-eyed Meryl Streep turn to her husband in complete disbelief; you can see Isabelle Huppert not knowing what to do with herself.

Since the massive mixup, PricewaterhouseCoopers has since taken the blame for the mistake, noting that somehow Warren Beatty was given the Best Actress envelope instead of the Best Picture one before taking the stage to present the night's biggest award. Read their apology here.
