Sarah Jessica Parker turned 50 on Wednesday, and rather than ringing in the big 5-0 with Manolos and cosmos, the mother of three spent a very special mommy day with her son, twin daughters and hubby Matthew Broderick.

After bumping elbows with Tom Hanks at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night, the "Sex and the City" star woke up the morning after to an omelette for breakfast prepared by her 5-year-old twins, Loretta and Tabitha, accompanied by adorable Post-It notes with thoughtful handwritten notes.

The adorable New York family then took a trip to (where else?) the Empire State Building, where they rode the elevator to the top and enjoyed a beautiful, albeit somewhat hazy, view. The actress even got a smooch at the top!

The lucky lady ended her fun day with a final snap of a half-eaten chocolate cake with a candle blown out ... We wonder what she wished for!
