Sarah Jessica Parker loves her New York Rangers, but she may not love Tom Hanks.

The "Sex and the City" star hit the hockey match-up between the Rangers and the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden and was conveniently seated with her son, James, 12, right behind Tom Hanks and his son, Chet.

SJP, who was initially photographed happily chatting with the "Captain Phillips" star and his son, was later caught on camera serving up a serious side eye and stankface toward the Oscar winner.

What in the world did Hanks say to spark the wrath of SJP?

We'll never know what caused her to look down on Hanks, but it seems like the longtime actress wasn't all that enthralled with the game to begin with. Throughout the event, she was spotted reading a book.

The stunning star, who was clad in a big puffy jacket and a plaid shirt, is a Rangers game regular, but perhaps she was just having an off night.

Or maybe she was just kicking back for the evening ahead of her birthday! SJP turned a whopping 50 years old the next day, March 25.

Happy birthday SJP! We adore you – stankface and all!
