Melania Trump is getting in on the holiday spirit!

The first lady was on-hand at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington D.C. on Tuesday to join the Marine Corps for the annual Toys for Tots giveaway. Joining the military personnel, children volunteers and their families, the mother of one helped prepare gift bags and holiday presents for underprivileged children.

Trump, who was decked out in a patriotic red, white and blue Tomas Maier jacket (down to $525 from $1050), also helped distribute "Be Best" branded backpacks, each of which were filled with goodies from the White House.

"Their mission to send messages of hope to children and motivate them to grow into responsible and patriotic citizens and community leaders is so important to our society," she said about the organization. "I had been looking forward to this event ever since last year's ended," she said. "As a mother, I feel children are the most precious gift of all."

She continued, "As First Lady, I have made it my mission to shine a light on programs that provide more opportunities for children to succeed."
