This bar in Tokyo is selling Valentine's Day cocktails with edible insects

Valentine's Day can make any non-romantic want to gag.

Between chocolates, candy and overdone greeting cards, the over-romantic sentiments of the holiday can get to be a bit much.

But perhaps nothing is quite as grotesque as the V-day menu items being served up at Duranbar in Tokyo, Japan where the star ingredients were creepy, crawling insects.

Yes, real bugs.

Check out the, well, non-traditional Valentine's Day bites below:

Ranging from cookies to juices to candied varieties, the bar is cranking out goodies that include cocktails laden with waterbugs to "caramelized worms with almonds and cashews."

The Japan Times also reports:

"The whipped cream on some desserts included the internal fluids of giant Thai water bugs, known for their sweet taste."

Yum, bug fluid!

Love should be about adventure, after all, shouldn't it?

Duranbar's insect-laden cocktails and bites will certainly ensure your Valentine's Day dinner is anything but the ordinary.
