Spice Girls reportedly set reunion tour for US and UK: Details

The Spice Girls are going on tour!

Less than a week after unexpectedly reuniting at the house of Geri Horner (née Geri Halliwell), TMZ reports that the legendary pop girl group is set to embark on a reunion tour at the end of the summer.

The meeting, which also involved manager Simon Fuller, was reportedly for "rough planning" of the tour, which is rumored to start in the United Kingdom before coming over to the United States.

It would mark 10 years since the group's first reunion tour, which grossed a reported $70 million.

Fuller will manage the ladies -- Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel B, Melanie C and Geri Horner -- during the tour "because he enjoys the girls and the group."

The plans for another reunion tour have been simmering for a while now, though Beckham -- who runs her own incredibly successful fashion brand -- was hesitant to commit. Now, TMZ says, she is "fully on board."

The Spice Girls aren't expected to record any new music as part of the brief comeback, nor are they planning a Las Vegas residency, as once rumored. They will, however, be exploring "merchandising opportunities" around the tour.

The news comes less than a week after the group revealed that they're exploring "new opportunities together."

"We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations," they said in a statement on Friday.
