Tom Brady shares emotional Super Bowl celebration with sick mom

Sunday night, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was seen visibly emotional as he celebrated the Super Bowl LI win with his ill mother -- the woman he devoted this year's game to.

Brady shared in January that his mother hadn't attended a single game the entire season due to an undisclosed illness, but Galynn Brady was in Houston last night as her son prepared for his fifth championship win.

The 72-year-old mother of four had received clearance from her doctors to attend the sporting event with her husband, Tom Brady Sr., who attended just one of his son's games this season.

A report from CSN New England surfaced on Tuesday stating that Brady's mother had been battling health issues the past year and a half. According to the outlet, Galynn's health has improved recently, but remains a major concern for the family.

The quarterback admitted this year has been "tough" on his family during a press conference on Wednesday after addressing claims that his mother was too ill to attend Super Bowl LI.

"Yeah, it's personal with my family," the quarterback said to reporters Wednesday. "I'm just hoping everyone is here on Sunday to share a great experience. It has been a tough year. Every family goes through different things. My family has always been a great support system for me."
