Belmont Stakes: Irish War Cry emerges as betting favorite for final Triple Crown event

Irish War Cry has emerged as the betting favorite ahead of Saturday's Belmont Stakes, as spectators watch for the winner of the final Triple Crown event.

The 149th Belmont Stakes is set to take place on Saturday evening in Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. The Belmont Stakes is the third event in the Triple Crown, which also includes the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes.

After Always Dreaming took the Kentucky Derby and Cloud Computing won the Preakness Stakes, there's no chance of a Triple Crown winner the likes of American Pharoah in 2015. Still, the final major racing event of the year is bound to be a spectacle -- and one horse is already a clear favorite with oddsmakers.
