Two unnamed sources told the Daily Caller that a group of bipartisan lawmakers, Marco Rubio, Bob Menendez, and Mario Diaz Balart have pushed for the changes.

When President Obama visited Cuba last year, he became the first U.S. President to visit the communist nation in almost a century.

And, with that visit he was able to soften some regulation on trade, business and travel.

However, Congress has refused to lift the almost 60 year embargo.
