Dad makes surprise visit to teen's school after he wouldn't stop talking in class

A 17-year-old student from Texas is making headlines after misbehaving in his physics class.

"I like to talk a lot, and so my teacher kept emailing my dad about it," teenager Bradley "Brad" Howard tells BuzzFeed News.

His father, Bradley Howard, who also goes by "Brad," told the outlet his son likes to be the life of party.

Which, he adds, "gets him in trouble from time to time."

So, his father issued a brief warning to his son.

"For some reason, I said, 'Hey, if we get another call I'm going to show up in school and sit beside you in class,'" his father says.

Unfortunately, that call came.

"Friday is my only day off, so my wife wakes me up and says, 'Brad, it's time for you to go to school.' I thought, Oh no, what have I done?" the father says.

His son says he didn't even notice his father until he spotted him sitting next to his desk.

"I was super shocked," the teen says.

"I was a bit nervous being there among the teenagers," says his father. "The high school experience was really a lot for the father. "Mentally I hadn't prepared to go into a situation like that."

But he thinks his son's friends seemed to enjoy seeing the teen being "put in an uncomfortable situation."

"I pray it was a one-time thing," his father adds. "I don't think I'd ever do it again."
