Rep. Maxine Waters blasts Trump: 'You can't trust this president'

Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters unleashed a new barrage of criticism at President Donald Trump, telling Yahoo News the president cannot be trusted with one policy move.

Yahoo News' Bianna Golodryga asked the California representative about Trump's tax plan on Thursday, to which Waters responded saying Americans "can't trust this president."

"Don't forget, you can't trust this president," Waters said. "When he comes out with one thing, he'll change the next day."

"Look at what he just did with NAFTA," Waters continued. "Remember how NAFTA was a bad deal, how he was going to undo NAFTA? Today, I find out he's backed off of that."

The House Financial Services Committee chair criticized the Trump administration's tax plan reveal this week, saying "We don't know what it means."

"It does not have any specificity. It does not have any details," Waters said. "It appears that he would benefit from it."

The details of the proposal released yesterday include a handful of changes -- including dropping the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 15, and slashing the number of tax brackets from seven to three.

Waters has previously criticized the Trump administration for their Russia ties, saying the probe-worthy allegations will "lead to impeachment of the president."
