Melania Trump's friend speaks out on 'rabid' marriage rumors

Updated

Rumors have been flying that Melania is miserable as first lady since the early days of Donald Trump's presidency.

But one of Mrs. Trump's close friends, Karen LeFrak, has stepped up to address these "rabid rumors" about Melania and her relationship with her husband, which she refers to as "laughable and fictional."

LeFrak, wife of businessman and longtime friend of the president Richard LeFrak, told the Washington Post via email that Melania is actually "enjoying her life and new role."

She continued, saying the first lady "does not seek attention" and has been preoccupied "carving out an important role to support women and children" and "redecorating their residence in the White House," where she will allegedly move after her son, Barron, completes his school year in June.

"They are very happy!" LeFrak concluded to the Post. "Their relationship is great."

Will LeFrak's testimony put a halt to the apparently widespread concern the public has shown for the first lady?

Only time will tell.
