Paul Ryan shares Valentine's Day video honoring George H.W. and Barbara Bush's marriage

House Speaker Paul Ryan started off this Valentine's Day by sharing a video of what he calls "one of our greatest love stories."

"On behalf of the whole House," he wrote, "I want to extend best wishes this Valentine's Day to a couple whose love story is more than 7 decades running."

The video displays the wedding photo of George H.W. and Barbara Bush from 1945, and a current photo of the pair:

"George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush are not only national treasures," Ryan said in the video. "Together, they are part of the greatest love stories in our history."

This isn't the first time Ryan's been in the news for Valentine's Day. Last year, singer Alicia Keys asked Ryan to be her valentine -- and to help reform the criminal justice system.

See the couple through the years:

The 41st president and his wife started 2017 with respective pneumonia and bronchitis scares that landed them both in the hospital. The couple made a massive public appearance after recovering, though, when they oversaw the coin toss at Super Bowl 51 in Houston.
