These were the prettiest dresses at the 2019 Emmy Awards
Celebrities kicked off the awards season at the 2019 Emmy Awards on Sunday, wearing some of the prettiest dresses to grace the purple carpet. From Zendaya's emerald green custom Vera Wang dress to Naomi Watts black Dior ball gown, there was one stunning look after another.
Kristen Bell shined in a black cutout dress embellished with colorful beading by Dior. Her stylist, Nicole Chavez, told InStyle that beyond its beauty, the dress actually had a special meaning.
"So much of what I do with Kristen is try and find brands that speak to her socially conscious side," Chavez said. "[The Resort 2020] collection showed in Marrakech and was, in essence, a love letter from Dior to Morocco. It featured local artisans, encouraged multi-nationalism, and was developed by the house’s first female creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri. So, it checked off a lot of boxes for us."
One trend that stood out on the red carpet, however, was the combination of pink and red. Stars like Mandy Moore, Susan Kelechi and Taraji P. Moore each rocked the bright colors, but we think Moore wore it best.
