Emmys 2019: All the winners of the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards

Updated

From highly-anticipated wins to unexpected upsets, the Emmy Awards are never short on excitement. This year's top contenders hail from networks and streaming services alike, with Netflix and Amazon Prime programs burning as hot as HBO, NBC and the like.

"Fleabag" was the big winner of the night, taking home the status for Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series — beating out Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who has consecutively won for "Veep" every single year since the show's premiere. (The only year she wasn't nominated was 2018 as the show was on hiatus while she battled breast cancer.)

Billy Porter made LGBTQ Emmys history as he won Lead Actor in a Drama Series for "Pose," and a moved but composed Peter Dinklage took home a well-deserved Supporting Actor statue for his "Game of Thrones" role.

Who got snubbed? Quite a few shows, to be honest: "Veep," "This Is Us" and "The Good Place" were among the shows who couldn't pick up a win. See all the big winners below.
