Meghan Markle arrives at US Open to watch Serena Williams play

The duchess has arrived!

Meghan Markle made an appearance at the US Open on Saturday afternoon to cheer on pal Serena Williams as she competes against Bianca Andreescu in the Women's Singles Finals. The duchess was joined by Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian and Anna Wintour at the match.

News broke on Friday morning that the royal had boarded a last-minute commercial flight from London to support Williams. Her weekend trip marks the first away from four-month-old baby Archie and her first return to New York City since her baby shower in February.

The 38-year-old royal dressed down for the occasion, opting for a $118 denim shirtdress from J.Crew (it's still in stock!). She paired the look with a gray cardigan, sunglasses and a simple blowout.

Next up for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is a 10-day tour of Africa, which will kick off on Sept. 23. Baby Archie will remain in South Africa with Meghan and a nanny while Harry will continue engagements in Botswana, Angola, and Malawi.
