Here's what New York Fashion Week looked like a decade ago, in 2009

New York Fashion Week has snuck up upon us once again.

The world's biggest models and the industry's most renowned designers are gearing up for yet another six hectic days of eccentric runway shows, music-blasting presentations and celebrity-stuffed parties to set the stage for Spring 2020. Tadashi Shoji will be kicking off this year's season, and will be joined by the likes of Kate Spade, Oscar de la Renta, Prabal Gurung, Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors, amongst other talented names, later in the week.

To get ready for the upcoming season, we're throwing it back to what NYFW looked like a decade ago. With "Gossip Girl" at its peak, stars Blake Lively and Taylor Momsen were two of front row's newest faces, while other celebrities were just hitting the scene. Ryan Lochte, Ivanka Trump, Tori Spelling and Rachel Bilson joined Kim and Khloe Kardashian for the week of productions, while industry veterans like Anna Wintour, Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia took their rightful seats.
