Charlize Theron rocks a bowl cut for her role in 'Fast & Furious 9'

Add Charlize Theron to the list of celebrities getting bowl cuts this summer!

The actress posted two photos to Instagram on Monday, Sept. 2 that both debuted her shorter hairstyle and confirmed her returning role as Cipher in the ninth installment of the "Fast & Furious" franchise.

"She’s baaaaack #Fast9," Theron's caption reads.

The new style is starkly different from Cipher's blonde dreadlocks in "The Fate of the Furious," a look which was condemned for cultural appropriation.

Theron's new 'do is seemingly real, too. No wigs for her! According to PopSugar, celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel gave her the cut with textured ends and a slight "V" in the back to make the look more modern. Abergel said he was inspired by photos of Linda Evangelista's shaggy bowl cut from the '90s, taken by famed fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh.

Oddly enough, Theron's bowl cut is not Hollywood's first this year. Over the weekend, Harry Styles showed off his own new rugged bowl cut (much to fans' dismay), while Timothée Chalamet rocked the look in Netflix's "The King," which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. Celine Dion also showed off a sleek version of the style in the September issue of Harper's Bazaar.
