Inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's gorgeous Ibiza villa

When you're royal, we can expect you to travel in style -- and details of Meghan and Harry's vacay last week did not disappoint.

It was reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex jetted off to Ibiza last week with Archie to help ring in the duchess' 38th birthday. From the $38,000 private jet to the security detail to the private, oceanside villa, it seems no expense was spared when it came to the Sussex family vacation.

According to The Sun, the family spent their time at the very exclusive Vista Alegre complex, which has been deemed "a billionaires' playground" given the row of lavish complexes overlooking Porroig Bay. The villas vary with their amenities -- some offer pools, beach access, gyms and housekeepers -- and of the homes advertised, costs seem to range from $3,880 to $24,400 per week. Notes Harper's Bazaar, not all villas are available for rent.

“The area has been built to a high specification and is a billionaires’ playground so the security staff know what they are doing," explained a source to The Sun.

Following their week in Ibiza, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned home for a few days and then departed again for Nice, France, to visit longtime family friend Elton John. While both trips have garnered their fair share of controversy, the singer quickly jumped to the couple's defense of their most recent trip by explaining he funded the private jet, which was also carbon neutral.

"I am deeply distressed by today’s distorted and malicious account in the press surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s private stay at my home in Nice last week," he wrote in series of tweets. "Prince Harry’s Mother, Diana Princess Of Wales was one of my dearest friends. I feel a profound sense of obligation to protect Harry and his family from the unnecessary press intrusion that contributed to Diana’s untimely death."
