Spotlight on: Smart Works We are proud to be supporting a very special initiative this autumn for @SmartWorksCharity! After quiet visits to Smartworks over the last year, The Duchess was moved by the impactful work being done by this non profit organisation that helps women into the workforce, equipping them with both the skills and clothes they need to feel job-ready. Throughout her visits she noticed that while the donations were plentiful, they were also notably a combination of mismatched items and colours which weren’t always the right stylistic choices or sizes that didn’t necessarily “suit” the job at hand: to make a woman feel confident and inspired as she walked into her job interview. As a result, launching this autumn, The Duchess will be supporting a collective to help equip the women of Smart Works with the key workwear essentials they need as they enter into the workplace. This initiative is supported by four generous brands who share the vision to empower the women of Smart Works to look and feel 💯 as they bravely venture in to what can often be a daunting environment for those who have been out of the job market. The brands have come together to work towards this united force for good, “[reframing] the idea of charity as community,” as The Duchess writes in a piece for this month’s British Vogue. They will follow the 1:1 model where an item from the collection purchased is an item shared with a woman of Smart Works because “not only does this allow us to be part of each other’s story; it reminds us we are in it together.” For more information on how you can be part of another woman’s success story visit @SmartWorksChairty. Special thanks to: @JohnLewisandPartners, @MarksandSpencer, @MishaNonoo, @InsideJigsaw for supporting this very special organisation. And to find out more, read the September issue of @BritishVogue and stay tuned for more exciting updates this autumn. Photo©️SussexRoyal

“Whatever your background, it’s easy to feel connected to Mrs Obama. There’s something magical about the way in which she draws you in with her endearingly frank, down-to-earth personality.” As First Lady of the United States, @MichelleObama forged a path as the nation’s mother-in-chief – and became a style icon in the process. Now, freed from White House protocol, she’s loosening up, but still dispensing immaculate advice. In a rare interview, she talks motherhood and maturity with #BritishVogue’s guest editor HRH The Duchess of Sussex @SussexRoyal. In a video released Monday by British Vogue to promote the issue, women on the cover speak behind-the-scenes about the changes they'd like to see in the world.

At one point, Selma Hayek says, "I feel extremely privileged to work with Edward [Enninful] and the Duchess of Sussex. I love their complicity, to make this secret project, such an example of collaboration together and inclusiveness."

The camera then shoots to the British Vogue editor-in-chief and the duchess standing behind the camera, smiling as they watch the interview.

Fans were quick to point out that Meghan, who at the time was pregnant with Archie Harrison, was wearing a jumpsuit from one of her favorite ethical brands, Everlane

More specifically, the duchess appears to be wearing The Japanese GoWeave Essential Jumpsuit by Everlane in black, which is priced at $120 and is still in stock. The sleeveless, wrinkle-resistant jumpsuit features a relaxed, cropped fit with a v-neck, pockets and an optional tied belt that the duchess chose to use. It also comes in dusty blue and olive colors.

It's one of the only times we see Meghan in the behind-the-scenes video, or really, throughout the magazine. The Duchess of Sussex chose not to put herself on the cover or in many photos throughout the issue, but in her editor's letter, she wrote that she feels "confident that you'll feel my thumbprint on most pages."

You can watch the entire behind-the-scenes British Vogue "Forces For Change" video here.
