Report: Meghan Markle expected to make royal return at Trooping the Colour after giving birth to Archie

It's been a busy week for the British royal family, who spent three days welcoming and entertaining the Trump family during their official state visit to London.

Next up for the Windsors? The famed Trooping the Colour on Saturday, June 8th, which celebrates Queen Elizabeth's official birthday with a parade packed with soldiers, horses and musicians, a military inspection, a 41-gun salute and a Royal Airforce flyby.

The annual event, which has been held for over 260 years, is also famous for producing some of the best photos of the royal family and their children ever. Remember last year's iconic moment with Prince George and his cousin Savannah?

Queen Elizabeth is joined by her entire family and great-grandchildren for the celebratory day, all of whom watch the flyby from the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Even better, it's set to be a milestone year for the Windsors: Prince Louis, 1, is said to be making his balcony debut while Meghan Markle is expected to be making her royal return after giving birth.

The duchess, who only last year made her royal Trooping the Colour debut two months after marrying Prince Harry in May, has been on maternity leave since welcoming the couple's first child on May 6th. It's speculated that the 37-year-old royal will officially return to her public duties in August, but until then, she's been enjoying the newborn life with baby Archie at the family's Frogmore Cottage.

"I think Meghan’s next public appearance will be at Trooping of the Colour because that is an absolutely key royal event," explained royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams to Express. “I imagine she won’t miss appearing on the balcony with Harry and all the other members of the Royal Family," he continued.
