The 10 best dressed guests at the 2019 CFDA Awards

One of the fashion industry's most important events happened on Monday night at the Brooklyn Museum in New York: the CFDA Awards.

According to their website, the CFDA, or the Council of Fashion Designers of America, is a "not-for-profit trade association, founded in 1962, whose membership consists of more than 500 of America’s foremost womenswear, menswear, jewelry and accessory designers." Each year the iconic association recognizes tastemakers and influential forces in the fashion industry for their work -- the event is commonly known as the "Oscars of the fashion world."

While Jennifer Lopez and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were some of the big winners receiving the Style Icon Award and Accessory Designer of the Year, respectively, there was no shortage of other fashionable moments happening on the red pink carpet.

Our favorite looks of the night included Martha Hunt in a metallic floral Monique Lhuillier gown and Laura Harrier in a blood red Khaite dress covered in small black polka dots.

Bella Hadid looked retro and sexy in a black halter neck dress from Michael Kors Collection as Rachel Zoe opted for a sequined, one-shouldered dress from her eponymous brand.
