Melania Trump glows in red Givenchy cape dress for dinner at US Ambassador's home

Lady in red!

Melania Trump pulled out all the stops to wrap up her second day of the Trump administration's three-day visit to the UK. The 49-year-old joined her husband President Trump for an evening with Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla and 150 other guests at Winfield House, the U.S. Ambassador's home on Tuesday evening.

Like Monday night's state banquet at Buckingham Palace, which saw the leading ladies in white, tonight's attire was white tie. While the Duchess of Cornwall opted for another white ensemble, Melania spiced things up in a bold red dress for the occasion. The first lady's vibrant Givenchy gown featured a sequined neckline and floor-length cape.

The Trumps' meeting with the Prince of Wales and Camilla comes a day after the foursome met for tea at Clarence House. A photocall taken of the two couples has since gone viral after a video appears to show Camilla winking at her protection offers.

"Will you rescue us if we blink? I hear millions of Americans blinking desperately on our side of the pond!" joked one Twitter user of the moment.

The president's visit to the UK has been met with backlash and thousands of protesters flooding the streets of London to object to his arrival. "I didn’t see the protesters until just a little while ago, and it was a very, very small group of people put in for political reasons. So it was fake news," Trump responded to reports of the protests.
