Melania Trump stuns in Dior at the queen's state banquet

Updated

The Trump family has had a jam-packed first day in the UK and their evening is just beginning.

To close out day one of his three-day tour of the United Kingdom, President Donald Trump, alongside first lady Melania, attended the state banquet at Buckingham Palace on Monday evening. The black-tie event showed off an impressive guest list of dignitaries and royals, including Prince William, Duchess Kate, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla and the queen herself.

For the occasion, Melania opted for a sleeveless Dior gown with an illusion neckline and matching white gloves. She wore her hair in a sophisticated up-do and was photographed beaming at the event. President Trump wore a black tuxedo with a cropped jacket and white bow tie, complementing his wife's ensemble.

White seemed to be the color of the evening with the queen, Duchess Kate (in Alexander McQueen) and Duchess Camilla all donning the hue.

Earlier in the day, the Trumps took a tour of Westminster Abbey and had tea with the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall at Clarence House, where they posed for a now-viral photo call.
