Best and worst looks from the 2019 Met Gala

And just like that, the 2019 Met Gala has come to an end!

How does one dress for Camp? Is it through a whimsical, rainbow bodysuit? A pink leather ensemble? Ruffled iridescent sleeves? How do you dress for a Met Gala party, stay on theme but make it fashion at the same time?!

This year's theme was obscure, we're not going to lie -- but last night's sartorial show on the red carpet proved that while Hollywood and their designer counterparts may interpret it differently, they stayed on theme in different ways.

At the same time, however, some ignored the theme entirely and left us a little bored, frankly.

Janelle Monaé's abstract interpretation (with a blinking eye!) was so on point for the singer, who ranked as one of the best looks of the night. Emily Blunt, Cara Delevingne and Ezra Miller all made our list of best dressed well, while stars like Lena Dunham, Frank Ocean and Karlie Kloss left us a little underwhelmed.
