These were the prettiest dresses at the 2019 Golden Globes

The Golden Globes kicked off the 2019 awards season on Sunday night, and the first major red carpet of the year did not disappoint.

From classic silhouettes to plunging necklines, our favorite movie and television stars brought their A-game for the highly-anticipated event. Lupita Nyong'o stunned in a cobalt blue beaded gown from Calvin Klein by Appointment keeping the rest of her accessories and makeup minimal, save for a flash of bright blue eye liner and mascara. Kristen Bell looked beautiful in a pale pink Zuhair Murad pleated dress, while Saoirse Ronan went sexy in a slinky Gucci chainmail number.
