Whereas some Hollywood stars stick to the same designers, and maybe known for their bespoke styles (hint: Nicole Kidman in Gucci, J.Lo in Valentino), Julianne Hough is one of those who likes to test out the sartorial scene, rarely sticking to the same brand or trend.

In 2018, the "Dancing with the Stars" veteran kept the fashion world on its toes. The year began with Hough experimenting with Old Hollywood glamour and vintage looks. The Marilyn Monroe-esque dress by Max Mara that she donned to this year's Vanity Fair Oscars party kicked off a slew of retro-inspired looks, which the actress and dancer frequently complemented with a bold lip and, eventually, a new red hairdo.

Then, Hough changed things up again with a series of chic pantsuits, consisting of sophisticated tailoring and simple (albeit risque) tops. A few months later, she retreated back to her blonde roots with a style shakeup, opting for form-fitting silhouettes and a lot of fringe.

And to go out with a bang, the actress said sayonara to her iconic blonde locks to close out 2018, opting for a rocker chic bob and bangs, which she matched perfectly with a leather jacket, dark pants and trench coat.
