Sad news for the beauty world: Celebrity hairstylist Oribe Canales has tragically passed away at the age of 62, it was revealed on Monday morning.

The Cuban-born industry leader began his career in the 80s and 90s after partnering with famed photographer Steven Meisel and contributing to print, from Vogue to Allure, as well as various runway campaigns, including Chanel and Versace.

One of his most notable campaigns was Marc Jacobs' grunge collection of the early 90s, which saw monumental success on the beauty world as we know it. Oribe furthered his talent by launching his namesake brand in 2008, which over the years has grown to become a consumer favorite due to its high-quality ingredients and a mix of "old-world hairstyling" and "new-world technology."

Known professionally as just "Oribe," the stylist also had his hand working with top celebrity clients such as Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, and the Duchess of Sussex. Upon the announcement of his death on Monday, celebrities and colleagues alike showed an outpouring of support for the stylist.
