Stars are paying tribute to famed hairstylist Oribe Canales

Oribe Canales, one of the most iconic hairstylist to the stars, died on Monday at the age of 62.

After gaining worldwide recognition in the '80s and '90s for his work with Vogue, Chanel and Versace, the Cuban-born stylist became a household name to Hollywood. Most frequently working with Jennifer Lopez throughout her career, Oribe had a star-studded roster including Meghan Markle, Cher, Rihanna and Lady Gaga. J.Lo took to her Instagram to share a heartbreaking post reflecting upon first meeting Oribe.

His most famed work came in 1993, when he created the bedhead hair look for Marc Jacob's Spring collection for Perry Ellis. The iconic runway show is often dubbed as the pioneering start of the grunge movement.

Oribe's high-fashion momentum in the 1990s garnered him a close friendship with "The Big Five." Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista all paid tribute to the beloved stylist, even referring to him as "chosen family."
