Duchess Kate makes casual return from maternity leave to visit a wildlife garden

Updated

Welcome back, Kate!

Following a six month maternity leave with the birth of Prince Louis, the Duchess of Cambridge is back at work as of Tuesday with a visit to the Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden in London. The recreational ground is one of the United Kingdom's 46 wildlife trusts and aims to help children connect with the natural world around them.

The mother-of-three opted for a casual look for the event, sporting a polka dot blouse, olive green sweater and matching army green jacket. The duchess paired the look with a pair of skinny khakis from Zara and her favorite fall boots, which she's owned for the last 15 years.

She also showed off a straighter and shorter 'do!

Despite her official leave, which was the longest with Prince Louis than any of her other children, Kate has stepped out for a number of private and public events. In May, she showed off her post-baby body at brother-in-law Prince Harry's wedding, a few days later attending the Trooping the Colour. She also attended Wimbledon and a close friend's wedding most recently.
