CFDA Awards 2018: Best of beauty

As big as the CFDA Awards are for fashion, the annual awards show also holds its own in the beauty world.

Some of the world's biggest designers, models and stars gathered in NYC Monday night to celebrate the fashion industry's most notable accomplishments over the past year -- but of course, it wouldn't be a red carpet event without some glam.

And this year's event was full of some of the best beauty looks on this season's red carpet.

LIPS

Lipstick was the name of the game at this year's fashion event, with stars like Alessandra Ambrosio and Ashley Graham taking their outfits up a notch with some color. Tracee Ellis Ross also rocked a bright pink lip, Lupita Nyong'o glowed with a metallic gold color while Alessandra Ambrosio and Josephine Skriver turned heads with some fierce pouts.

But it was Gigi Hadid who stunned in one of the best makeup looks of the night, complete with a bold red lip and simple waves.

HAIR

Amber Heard stunned a voluminous slicked back 'do, Kim Kardashian West stuck with her go-to pony and Jourdan Dunn rocked her natural curls. Cate Blanchett looked as glamorous as ever with old Hollywood waves, legend Naomi Campbell opted for a sleek and straight style, and Elaine Welteroth spiced it up with some braids.

EYES

In the eye department, Issa Rae sported a metallic smokey look, while Kaia Gerber kept it fresh and simple with a bit of mascara. Model Irina Shayk went for the gold in a sunshine yellow shadow to match her yellow leopard ensemble, as Kendall Jenner added a little color with some lilac liner.

We can't talk about eyes without discussing Martha Hunt's rhinestone design. The model outlined her eyes by gluing Swarovski Crystals along both her top and bottom lids, making her one of the most unique -- and coolest -- beauty looks of the night.
