Met Gala 2018: Best and worst looks of the night

Dress for the theme ... but make it fashion! When it came to this year's Met Gala theme -- "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" -- many stars took the theme quite literally ... while others ignored it quite entirely.

And as always, there were some stars on the steps of The Met that left us mesmerized and wanting more and some that left us shaking our heads.

Jennifer Lopez made a dramatic entrance in a gorgeous Balmain number that stayed on-theme with a massive cross on the gown's torso. Meanwhile, it's safe to say Kim Kardashian made her best Met Gala appearance in a sequined Versace gown that fit her like a glove.

Lily Collins in Givenchy, Kate Bosworth in Oscar de la Renta and Blake Lively in Versace were also wore some of the top looks of the night.

However, there were others that failed to live up to expectations -- and the internet took notice.

Shailene Woodley leads the 'Worst Dressed' list in a Ralph Lauren mini dress, garnering many "Tin Man" comparisons on Twitter.

The internet also went after Kris Jenner, who wore a feathered Tommy Hilfiger number that was underwhelming, to say the least.

Other looks that we weren't loving? Katy Perry's bizarre Versace mini dress, Selena Gomez's underwhelming Coach gown and Bella Hadid's gothic Chrome Hearts look. Check out the slideshow above for the complete 'Best and Worst' roundup of the night!
