Met Gala 2018: Red carpet arrivals
The Met Gala -- dubbed the Super Bowl of the fashion world -- is finally here! The first Monday in May has been synonymous with the glitzy, star-studded gala held at The Met in New York City to raise money for the Costume Institute.
An event unlike any other, the "Oscars of the East" features some of the biggest names in Hollywood and fashion (and not to mention the occasional politician, business mogul or superstar athlete in attendance). This year's theme is "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" -- and it's safe to say there is no shortage of glamorous looks on the red carpet!
Amal Clooney, one of the hosts of tonight's gala, was one of the first to arrive in a floral Richard Quinn look. Her hubby George looked dapper in a black Armani tuxedo. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour took our breath away in a custom Chanel look while daughter Bee Shaffer was a vision in a red Valentino gown.
Rihanna channeled the Pope in a Maison Margiela look while Katy Perry descended from the heavens above in a gold Versace mini dress complete with oversized angel wings.
