Duchess Kate stuns in red off-the-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress

Updated

Another day of the royal tour, another show-stopping dress for Duchess Kate.

On the third day of their official tour of Poland and Germany, William and Kate stepped out for yet another garden party in celebration of the queen's birthday, and the fashionable mom of two did not hold back. Monday's dress may have been daring (and a little bit plunging), but Wednesday's look turned heads for a totally different reason.

It's not the first time we've seen the Duchess of Cambridge in this season's most popular trend -- off-the-shoulder -- but it's definitely one of the trendiest looks she's worn. Especially for a more formal engagement, the evening's shirred, crinkle chiffon look was a bit less polished than what she typically wears, though not necessarily in a bad way.

With her new shorter locks curled to perfection, she looked lovely.

Prince William made a speech and then the royal duo sipped some bubbly (after toasting Her Majesty, of course!) and then chatted with guests at the party.

Kate's ruffled red number may be a fashion departure for our favorite duchess, but it comes from a familiar (and favorite) brand: Alexander McQueen. It's Kate's second McQueen look since starting this tour, and just one of countless she's worn so far this year. We've seen the label on every tour she's gone on (from Australia to Canada, India and beyond) and it's further proof that the brand is her go-to -- even while abroad.

If Kate's shoes look a bit familiar to you, that's because she just wore them last week. The gorgeous Prada Scalloped Suede Sandalhas to be comfortable, as Kate bought them in both plum and nude! She kept her accessories minimal otherwise, simply choosing a very cool pair of Simone Rocha drop earrings.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in style this morning with mini-me's George and Charlotte in tow, perfectly coordinating their royal blues. So it only makes sense, really, that Kate would swap to vibrant red to celebrate the queen.
